The new Microsoft Planner for the web

The new Microsoft Planner for the web is an all-inclusive task management solution integrating various features from Microsoft To Do, Planner, Project, and Copilot for a seamless task management experience. The new version will be rolled out in early October 2024 and will be fully available by late January 2025. While some features will not be available at launch, they will return by early 2025. Users will require a Microsoft 365 license to use the new Planner.

The new Planner for the web comes equipped with the intelligence of Copilot for Microsoft 365, the simplicity of Microsoft To Do, the collaboration of Planner, and the power of Microsoft Project, making it a comprehensive solution that caters to both individual and professional requirements. The existing web version of Planner will be updated with the new version, and the new Planner for the web will match Planner in Teams to enable seamless switching between Teams and web.

While final pricing for Copilot in Planner has not been announced yet, users with a Project Plan 3 license, Project Plan 5 license, or a premium Planner trial license can preview Copilot's capabilities in Planner (preview).
