Microsoft Teams is introducing a new feature that allows manual optimization of screen sharing for video or motion content during Teams meetings, by reducing lag and improving the quality of video playback. With this rollout, presenters can access the Optimize for playing video setting on the Presenter toolbar overflow menu in case automatic detection fails or is delayed, ensuring their content is displayed as smoothly as possible. The feature is expected to be rolled out in early March 2024 for Targeted Release customers and mid-March 2024 for Standard Release customers. No action is needed from organizations to prepare for this change except for notifying users and updating relevant documentation as appropriate.
