Reminder: Retiring Remote PowerShell use through Connect-IPPPSession
SCC customers using Remote PowerShell (RPS) protocol are reminded of its retirement starting July 15, 2023, as previously communicated in MC541649. As part of Microsoft's efforts to enhance cloud security, the SCC admin experience will be moved to REST-based APIs, which will allow RPS-based cmdlets to run as REST API calls instead of running through RPS sessions. The REST API has feature parity with RPS v1 cmdlets and doesn't require updating existing scripts and processes that use RPS. From July 15, 2023, RPS won't be available for administrators through Connect-IPPPSession, and administrators should switch to REST-based cmdlets. SCC customers are advised to switch as soon as possible. To switch to REST-based cmdlets, install the EXO module version 3.2.0-Preview3 and use connect-ippssession -UseRPSSession:$false to establish a connection.
