Microsoft Teams Platform Apps in Group VOIP Calls
Microsoft Teams is introducing a new feature that will allow group VoIP calls to support meeting apps, tabs, bots, and in-meeting dialogues. This will enhance the user's overall productivity, making it easier to collect and act on information, discuss and ideate, organize and track, and make decisions. If your organization already has a meetings app on Teams, then it can be used in group VoIP calls automatically. If not, developers can easily start building an app for Teams meetings and calls. This feature is expected to roll out by mid-September, with preview already launched. Users can expect the same familiar app experience in their Teams VOIP calls as seen in Teams Meetings. No action is needed to prepare for this change, but it's recommended to notify users and update training and documentation as necessary.
