Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Sequence detections for obfuscation involving excluded events

The Microsoft Purview compliance portal now includes enhanced sequence detection to improve identifying users performing obfuscation activities and patterns that may lead to a data security incident. By identifying potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft or data leakage, Insider Risk Management helps customers create policies for managing security and compliance. Additionally, Insider Risk Management is private-by-design, with audit logs and role-based access controls in place to maintain user privacy. The updated feature is set to be released globally in January 2024, following a preview in August 2023.
