Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – Enhanced Incident Communication with DLP Email Templates

Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal now offers customizable email templates to improve Data Loss Prevention (DLP) incident management. This enhancement enables automatic notification of concerned stakeholders when a DLP policy match generates an event. You can use dynamic variables and tokens to create email templates for consistent and efficient communications with a documented audit trail.

The email templates can inform end-users about incidents, their severity, and analysts' recommendations. You can also use them to keep analysts informed about incident updates and assignments, trigger escalation notifications to managers or other custom targets, and so on. Additionally, you can use these templates to notify approvers of pending items and stay on top of remediation efforts by sending follow-up notifications to end-users with due dates. This feature is currently in preview, and it will be widely released by March 2024 for worldwide cloud instances on the web platform.
