Microsoft Viva: Topics engagement analytics in Topic center

Microsoft Viva - the comprehensive employee experience platform -is introducing new features that aim to provide knowledge managers with engagement analytics for better Topics adoption and value. With the new analytics tab in Topic center, knowledge managers can gain a comprehensive understanding of Unique users, Usage counts, Consumption, and Contribution activities across Topics.

The analytics will include Unique users and Usage counts for overall Topics usage activities, as well as Unique users and Usage counts for Topics activities specific to consuming, contributing, and sharing. Usage count details for Topics consumption activities will include data relating to Topic card, page, search, and Topic center cards. Additionally, usage count details for contribution activities, such as editing and publishing topics and providing feedback, will be available as well.

All of this data should give knowledge managers a more nuanced overview of how Topics are being interacted with and utilized in their organization, thereby helping them make data-driven decisions that will enhance the overall value and adoption of Microsoft Viva.

The Microsoft Viva release is set for General Availability in April CY2023, and the platform will be available on the web and cloud instances worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant).
