Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android: New touch and collaboration experiences
The latest update to Teams Rooms on Android introduces new touch and collaboration experiences, providing optimized interactions for the Neat Board and Yealink Meeting Board. These devices combine audio, video, touch display, and compute in a single unit, instantly transforming any space into a Teams meeting space. The update includes support for 4K display and touch awareness, allowing users to control the room system from both the front of the room touch display and the touch console. Additionally, users can initiate collaboration with the new one-touch Whiteboard icon on the home screen, and start an ad-hoc meeting enabling them to switch from local to online collaboration. Users also have the option to temporarily turn off incoming chat notifications. These enhancements will be enabled by default and will be made available in mid-December through the Teams Admin Center.
