Announcing GA of “Deliver the message to the hosted quarantine” in DLP EXO
A new feature for Data Loss Prevention in Exchange Online has been announced called "Deliver the message to the hosted quarantine", which is currently in preview but rolling out soon. This feature adds a new column to allow easier viewing of the messages that are quarantined under data loss prevention, eliminating the need to filter them using transport rules. This update is expected to be completed by mid-August and is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 124974.
If your organization is currently not using this feature, there is no impact, but if you are using it, you will need to update your quarantine reason/policy type filter from "Transport Rule" to "Data Loss Prevention" to monitor the messages that were quarantined because of DLP. Learn more about DLP policy conditions, exceptions, and actions through the Microsoft Purview compliance portal.
This feature is designed to make it easier for admins to manage messages delivered to hosted quarantine. With this update, users can view messages delivered to quarantine in a more accessible manner, which can be found under "Data Loss Prevention".
