Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Ability to delete indicator variants

With the latest update to the Microsoft Purview compliance portal, authorized administrators can delete indicator variants that were created. This deletion will eliminate the variants from all Insider Risk Management policies they are being used in. Any prior insights related to the deleted variants will remain for future use. The Insider Risk Management system employs several indicators to detect potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks. By allowing customers to customize policies based on their own governance, organizational needs, and policies, the system features privacy by design. Users are pseudonymized by default while role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to safeguard user-level privacy. This update is currently accessible in Preview Release, and the release date is planned for June CY2024, preceded by a preview in February CY2024. This service is available on the Web Cloud Instance platform, including DoD, GCC, GCC High, Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant).
