Microsoft Purview | Generative AI: Hub in public preview

Microsoft Purview has introduced Generative AI Hub in public preview, focused on helping organizations secure their data on AI applications. The hub provides insights, data protection policies, and compliance controls for better security and privacy of data. It is set to launch a public preview in early May 2024 and general availability in mid-November 2024. Through the use of analytics, policies, and activity explorer tabs, the hub will offer a central location for viewing insights and analytics into AI activities in the organization, protecting data and preventing data loss in AI prompts, and implementing compliance controls to apply optimal data handling and storing policies.

Microsoft Purview: Generative AI (GAI) is aimed at making AI accessible to organizations by ensuring productivity and protection and providing a central location for secure data in AI. The hub will support both Microsoft and non-Microsoft AI applications. This development is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 188510. To prepare for the update, organizations should review the admin documentation.

This new feature is expected to help organizations safely adopt AI applications without compromising security and privacy. It will offer a range of capabilities that will allow organizations to comply with data handling and storage policies, prevent data loss, and view insights and analytics into AI activities.
