Teams Live Events support in New Teams
If your organization is using classic Teams, it's time to start preparing for the migration to new Teams. As of March 31, 2024, any classic Teams users that haven't updated to new Teams will be automatically updated. The good news is that New Teams will support Teams Live Events until its scheduled retirement on September 30th, 2024.
Users can expect the same Attendee and Presenter experiences as before, but with the added capabilities for Producers and Organizers, who previously couldn't use New Teams. The Organizer experience will change in the middle of January 2024 and the Producer experience will also be available on New Teams by late March 2024.
It's important for organizers, producers, presenters, and attendees who plan to use Teams Live Events after March to understand the changes and take note of the timeline. It's also highly recommended that Teams Live Events users begin exploring the new town hall feature, which is fully supported in New Teams and is the replacement for Teams Live Events.
