Microsoft Loop App Coming to Public Preview

Microsoft Loop App Coming to Public Preview

Microsoft Loop is a web and mobile app designed to facilitate collaboration and co-creation among team members. It will enter public preview phase in late March 2023, but it will be disabled by default for organizations. Those who wish to enable the app must follow the instructions outlined in the article. Regulated organizations should note that compliance capabilities such as eDiscovery and sensitivity labeling are still being developed. To prepare for the app's release, organizations can begin by creating a security group and defining loop settings using Microsoft Cloud Policy. Detailed instructions can be found in the administrator article "Manage Loop experiences (Loop app and Loop components) in SharePoint."

Overall, this announcement should not affect organizations unless they voluntarily choose to enable the Loop app, which is still undergoing development to meet compliance requirements.
