Microsoft Defender for Microsoft Office 365: enhanced clarity in submission results

Microsoft Defender for Microsoft Office 365: enhanced clarity in submission results

Microsoft Defender for Office 365 is improving its submission results for better clarity, with updates available for emails, Teams messages, attachments, URLs, and user reports. These enhancements, which are linked to Roadmap ID 389856, will be available through the submission experience and API, with rollout starting in mid-April 2024. These updates will provide administrators and security operators with improved and refined submission results, which will eliminate any ambiguity associated with the current submission results. The submission results will aim at consistency, clarity, and conciseness, making them more actionable and therefore, enabling administrators to act on them more effectively. These updates will apply to submissions made after the completion of the rollout, and existing submission results will not be impacted. Therefore, there is no need for any action on the users' part. Hence, these improvements are a welcome change, streamlining security operations in the Microsoft Office 365 ecosystem to better equip organizations to identify and address threats.
