Plan sharing with file container

A new authorization model is being implemented for Planner plans, where files from OneDrive and SharePoint Online can be linked to plans to provide access to users who have access to the shared container. This will streamline access to roster-backed plans that are connected to one or more files. Even users who are not direct members of the plan can access it if they have access to the file, reducing potential authorization errors. The change will start rolling out in early April 2023 and is expected to be completed by mid-month. The new authorization model will provide users with a revised authorization experience for roster plans, and users who do not have access to the file will be informed that a file is providing access to the plan but will not be told which file that is. There is no action needed to prepare for this change, but you may want to update any relevant documentation and notify your users. This information can be found in the M365 Admin post titled "Plan sharing with file container".
