Microsoft Outlook: Extend Sensitivity Label to Meetings (preview)

Microsoft Outlook: Extend Sensitivity Label to Meetings (preview)

Outlook for Microsoft 365 will soon be equipped with sensitivity labeling for meetings, catering to the protection of sensitive content. The preview for this feature is expected to roll out between mid-December 2022 and mid-January 2023, with the general availability (GA) release expected from early to late February 2023. With this update, users will be able to apply sensitivity labels to meetings and secure their content. The meeting content, including meeting body and file attachments, will be encrypted and can be viewed by attendees in OWA, Mac, and Outlook Win32 in decrypted form. However, users opening protected meeting messages in other clients will receive a link to the message, and upon authorization, they can view the decrypted content. An E5 subscription is a prerequisite for this feature, and Outlook Win32 should be on the Office Insider Current Channel (preview) to access the build that enables compliant/protected meetings.

To learn more about this feature, visit the blog page or the preview page, and take note of Message ID MC484925.
