Activity policy – filter by file name

Activity policy – filter by file name

Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps will soon be retiring the ability to filter by 'select file name'. This change is expected to be rolled out in mid-May. If you have an activity policy using the filter 'select file name', you may want to consider updating your training and documentation as necessary. However, you can continue using 'select folder name' as an alternative. Once this change takes effect, users will no longer be able to use 'select file name' in activity policy. The message ID for this communication is MC543389.
