Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows: Native PTZ controls

Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows is set to receive a major upgrade with native PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera controls, which will be available from mid-September 2024. The feature will appear in the Camera settings pop-up menu when the Enhanced Framing toggle is switched off. This update comes with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 409534 and is said to roll out worldwide by late September 2024. Admins can toggle this feature on or off in Peripherals in the device's Admin Settings. Users of Teams Rooms on Windows with PTZ-enabled cameras will witness this feature.
This update will allow users to have enhanced control over the PTZ-capable cameras while using Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows. Admins may want to inform the users of this new feature and update their documentations. This update aims to make Microsoft Teams Rooms a better and more efficient solution for virtual collaborations.
