Improve SQL Editor Capabilities with Monaco Framework | Access Integration

Incorporating the Monaco framework can improve the capabilities of your SQL editor in Access. The Monaco Editor is a first-class code editor with the standard functionality of an integrated development environment, including syntax highlighting, code completion, and IntelliSense. Integrating this framework into Access can significantly improve the functionality of the built-in SQL editor.

This update is currently in the Access Release phase in the Current Channel and is set to be released in September of CY2024. The release will be available on both the desktop and cloud platforms via a standard multi-tenant worldwide instance. This new feature was created on April 25, 2024, and is identified in the roadmap as ID 394350.

If you're interested in implementing this framework in your Access SQL editor, check out the M365 Admin post linked below for more information.
