Pin based verification process for support callers

Pin based verification process for support callers

Microsoft has added an extra layer of protection for your organization's security during the support process. As of November 1, 2023, you will be required to provide a PIN code to grant the Microsoft support representative access to your organization's account when opening and managing phone-initiated cases. The representative will send the PIN to your registered email or phone, which you will provide as verification. To ensure a smooth and expedited support experience, users can update their contact information under the Admin Center profile. This change ensures that your organization's data remains secure, giving you peace of mind while seeking support.

The post Pin based verification process for support callers on M365 Admin outlines the steps that organizations need to take to prepare for this change and underscores the importance of this enhanced verification process in protecting sensitive data.
