Changes in Normalization

Changes in Normalization

Microsoft Teams is making a change in their normalization process, whereby phone numbers that start with a plus sign (+) will no longer go through any normalization rules. This will align Teams with other Microsoft services and Azure Communication Services SDKs. The change is expected to roll out between mid-July and late August, and users are recommended to update relevant documentation and adjust dial plan policies if necessary. The post Changes in Normalization on M365 Admin contains more information on this update and its implications.
