Introducing New Method to Clear Throttling Policy Assignments for Mailboxes

A new parameter is being introduced to the Set-Mailbox cmdlet which enables administrators to clear a throttling policy assigned to a mailbox. This means that if specific limits for mailboxes such as transport limits, recipient rate limits, and protocol limits (Exchange Web Services, ActiveSync, PowerShell) had previously been raised by Microsoft Support, they can now be removed using the ClearThrottlingPolicyAssignment parameter. The new parameter will be available to Exchange service admins under the Mail Recipients management role, and there will be no impact to any organization's users. The update will be automatically handled and is due to begin rollout in late July 2023, with completion expected by early August 2023. If you're an Exchange service admin, this new feature gives you more control over mailbox settings, allowing you to adjust policies with greater ease.
