Modern SharePoint: New Template gallery and 50+ out-of-the-box page templates

Modern SharePoint will introduce a new Template gallery and over 50 out-of-the-box page templates in mid-2025. This feature aims to streamline content creation and enhance visual consistency. The rollout requires no admin action, but users should be informed to maximize its benefits. Coming soon to Microsoft SharePoint: We will roll out Modern SharePoint page templates, a new feature designed to streamline content creation and elevate the visual consistency across your organization’s SharePoint pages or news posts. This rollout will introduce a centralized Template gallery that enables users to effortlessly discover, preview, and apply both Microsoft-provided and customer created site-specific templates. With over 50 new out-of-the-box (OOB) templates, this feature empowers users to build high-quality, aesthetically pleasing on-brand pages with ease. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 490565. When this will happen: Targeted Release: We will begin rolling out at mid-June 2025 and expect to complete by late June 2025. General Availability (Worldwide, GCC, GCC High, DoD): We will begin rolling out early July 2025 and expect to complete by late July 2025. How this will affect your organization: With the introduction of the Template gallery, SharePoint users will have a dedicated experience to: Access both Saved on this site (templates created by customer on this site) and From Microsoft (OOB templates provided by Microsoft) in one centralized location: the new Template gallery.
