Microsoft Teams: Pinch to zoom in on shared screens
Microsoft Teams will add pinch-to-zoom on shared screens using touchpads, enhancing visibility of small text and details. This feature rolls out worldwide in mid to late November 2026, enabled by default in all meetings. Organizations should update sharing policies and inform users; no compliance issues identified. What and Why: Get a closer look at shared content in Teams calls and meetings with pinch-to-zoom using your touchpad. Quickly zoom in to make small text and detailed visuals easier to see, then zoom back out for the full view. Existing zoom controls remain available. Rollout Schedule: General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out on late November 2026 and expect to complete by late November 2026. Targeted Release (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out on mid November 2026 and expect to complete by mid November 2026. Impact on Your Organization: This capability will be enabled for all meetings by default, as an improvement to additional zooming controls. Action Required/Recommendations: Review your organization’s sharing policies and inform users and support teams about the addition to existing sharing experience. Compliance considerations: No compliance considerations identified. Review as appropriate for your organization. Message ID: MC1532242
