Microsoft has introduced a new feature in its Breakout Rooms that allows PSTN attendees to join and participate. This includes dial-in users, dial-out users, and call-me users. PSTN participants can be assigned to breakout rooms manually or automatically, and can also join breakout rooms and hear an announcement. They are able to join back to the main room and hear an announcement after breakout rooms are closed, either manually or when the timer ends. The feature will be rolled out in stages, with a late October to early November preview release, followed by a mid-November to late November standard release. No preparation is required, but training materials should be updated to reflect this new feature.
