Upcoming changes to the Power Apps Maker Portal admin settings

The Power Apps Maker Portal admin settings are about to change, and this post provides all the pertinent details. Specifically, the default tenant admin setting value for PowerPlatform.Search.disableDocsSearch will be changed from false to true to ensure compliance with European Union Data Boundary (EUDB) regulations.

As a result, new tenants will need to explicitly set the value to false in order to perform in-app searches for certain categories. The search categories affected by this change are limited to the 'Learn' and 'Documentation' categories. Other categories like 'My apps,' 'Create,' 'Blogs,' 'Community,' 'Web videos' are not affected.
