Microsoft Teams: Volume ratio setting for meeting participants using language interpretation

Microsoft Teams: Volume ratio setting for meeting participants using language interpretation

Microsoft Teams brings a new feature that allows meeting participants using language interpretation to adjust the volume ratio between original and interpretation audio on Windows and Mac desktops. This feature will be available starting from October to December 2024, and will only work if the meeting organizer enables the language interpretation option during setup. After selecting the language to listen to in the meeting, participants can use the More menu to access Language and speech, then Language interpretation, and choose a language. They will have control over the volume ratio of the original meeting audio and interpretation audio through a slider provided on-screen. This feature is associated with the Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 411569. This update aims to improve participants' experience during multilingual meetings and make communicating across different languages easier. This update will be deployed automatically in the specified timeframe with no admin actions required.
