Microsoft Teams: Bidirectional Support for Teams Live Interpretation

Microsoft Teams: Bidirectional Support for Teams Live Interpretation

Microsoft Teams is improving its interpretation feature by introducing bidirectional support which allows interpreters to switch translation direction between two languages, reducing the need for multiple interpreters and lowering operational costs. This feature is set to roll out in August 2024 without any need for admin action. Interpreters can switch the translation direction by clicking on the language button at the bottom of the screen. This feature is expected to be available worldwide by late August 2024. Tenants need not take any admin actions to avail this feature, and they can expect lower operational costs for live translation in Teams meetings. Users should be informed of this update and any relevant documentation should be updated accordingly.
