Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Site URL and keyword exclusions

Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management now offers SharePoint site URL and keyword exclusions to reduce signal noise and improve data analysis. Admins can configure exclusions based on particular keywords found in email subject lines, file names, and site URLs to prevent generating alerts for activities involving these sites. Insider Risk Management in Microsoft Purview collates various signals to identify potential instances of IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. It creates policies that help manage security and compliance, with user-level privacy ensured through the application of role-based access controls, anonymization, and audit logs.

This new feature is part of the General Availability Release scheduled for June CY2023, and it can be accessed through the Purview compliance portal. With these new capabilities, Purview Insider Risk Management enables customers to create more targeted security and compliance policies that better align with their business needs.
