Power Platform – Automatically enabling copilots and generative AI capabilities with Bing in commercial environments

In a recent update, Microsoft has announced that it will be automatically enabling copilots and generative AI features in Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft Dynamics 365 for all commercial environments between April 10, 2024, and April 24, 2024. The change will also enable the Power Platform Admin Center setting for generative AI features that use Bing search. This move aims to streamline the process of enabling these AI features that were previously enabled through the environment settings page in the Power Platform admin center. Power Platform and Dynamics 365 monitor the usage of generative AI features to ensure no customer data is stored outside of the region. However, Fedramp customers with environments in commercial regions will be excluded from this change. If you have already disabled these AI features, they will not be automatically re-enabled.
