Viva Pulse – Teams Chat Notifications
Viva Pulse is set to send notifications to users via Teams Chat in addition to email notifications. However, users will only receive Teams Chat notifications if they have the Viva Pulse Teams app installed on their devices. Admins can either install the app through a Teams app setup policy, or users can download the app directly from the Teams app store to receive these notifications.
The notifications will be sent via the Viva Pulse chatbot and will cover scenarios such as when a welcome message is sent, when feedback is provided, when a Pulse report is shared, and when the feedback author's Pulse is closed. From early October onwards, feedback providers will receive Teams Chat notifications directing them to the Viva Pulse Teams app to provide feedback, while inline responses will be enabled from the end of October.
The changes are set to roll out by mid-October 2023, with complete implementation by the end of the same month. To prepare for this change, it is recommended that users have the Viva Pulse Teams app installed on their devices to avoid missing out on notifications. Admins can install the app through a Teams app setup policy, while users can directly download it from the Teams app store.
