Microsoft Viva Glint | User schema enhancements: Rename hierarchies

Admins will soon be able to rename existing hierarchies and levels in Viva Glint from the Manage user attributes page. This feature will be available mid-May 2025 and requires a Viva Glint license. Coming soon for Microsoft Viva Glint: Admins will be able to rename existing hierarchies and levels from the Manage user attributes page in Viva Glint. This feature is the first in a series of user schema enhancements designed to provide more flexibility and customization options for managing your Viva Glint setup. A license for Viva Glint, Microsoft Viva Suite, or Microsoft Viva Workforce Analytics and Employee Feedback is required to use this feature. This message applies to Glint for the web. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 489835. When this will happen: General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out mid-May 2025 and expect to complete by late May 2025. How this will affect your organization: Before this rollout: Admins are not able to rename existing hierarchies and levels. After this rollout, to access this feature in Viva Glint, go to People > Manage user attributes where you can update hierarchy names and levels to better align with your organization’s structure. This feature will be available by default for admins to configure. What you need to do to prepare: This rollout will happen automatically by the specified dates with no admin action required before the rollout. Review your current configuration to assess the impact on your organization. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation.
