Eligible users can now signup for Teams Exploratory on MOBILE
Microsoft Teams is making it easier for eligible users to sign up for the Teams Exploratory trial on mobile devices. This trial provides users with full Teams features for free for up to six months, and a 30-day grace period is offered post-trial before access is revoked.
To be eligible, users need a managed domain email and no active Teams license, and must belong to a tenant with a paid subscription. Once eligible users sign into Teams on an iOS or Android app, they will be prompted to try out Teams for free and presented with the terms and conditions. Upon acceptance, they will be assigned a trial license, giving them access to features such as Teams chat and channels, video calls/meetings, file storage, Power Automate, Microsoft Viva Insights, Microsoft Forms, Planner, Stream, SharePoint Online, and more.
The rollout for this update begins in early/mid-November 2024 and will bring the mobile experience at par with the Desktop version, resulting in eligible users on mobile devices being able to sign up for the Microsoft Teams Exploratory trial license without any errors. The post-trial grace period and other pertinent information regarding eligibility and preparations for the trial can be found on the Microsoft Teams website.
