Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – Restrict access action support for semantic models in Fabric

Microsoft Purview compliance portal now offers additional data loss prevention (DLP) controls to ensure the security of sensitive information in your organization's Fabric semantic models. With the DLP restrict access action, you can now block access to guest users or all users, depending on the labels or sensitive information types that match your semantic models. This feature works in tandem with the ability to audit and notify users via Policy Tips based on sensitive content present within Fabric semantic models and lakehouses. These controls ensure that only authorized personnel can access sensitive data, helping keep your organization secure.

This new feature is predicted to be released to the public by April CY2025, with a preview version available in November CY2024. This feature is available on the Web Cloud platform instance, worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant).
