Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Communication Compliance – Detect workplace safety concerns in user-reported Teams messages

Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance portal has introduced a feature called Communication Compliance that allows the identification and flagging of potential workplace safety concerns in user-reported Teams messages. With this feature, investigators can decide the risk level of user-reported messages, and configure an Inappropriate Content policy to proactively identify similar inappropriate content in the future. The tool helps detect regulatory compliance violations such as sharing of adult content, harassing or threatening language, and sensitive or confidential information by organizations. This feature is built with privacy by design, with pseudonymized usernames by default, built-in role-based access controls, and audit logs to ensure user-level privacy. The preview release for this feature is scheduled for November CY2024 with a preview date set for October CY2024. This feature will be available on the web cloud instance for the worldwide standard multi-tenant platform.
