Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Quarantine End User Allow and Block list management
Microsoft Defender for Office 365 is updating the way that end users can manage email allow and block lists in Exchange Online. This change aims to allow users to block unwanted sender emails and prevent them from appearing in their default quarantine view and notifications, with the added feature of being able to allow emails from trusted senders and block future emails from the same senders from being put into quarantine. These updates will begin rolling out by mid-March 2024 for Standard Release, GCC, and GCC High and mid-April 2024 for DoD. End users will also be able to review admin override reasons that lead to quarantined emails. Figure 1-7 in the original post shows examples of the different actions and features that will be available for end users. There is no action required to prepare for this change, but it may be helpful to notify users and update any relevant documentation.
The post Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Quarantine End User Allow and Block list management discusses these changes and originally appeared on M365 Admin.
