Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Migration of quarantine notification frequencies

If you're using Microsoft Defender for Office 365, be aware that there will be changes to the quarantine notification frequencies. This message is an update to a previous communication, and the changes will affect how frequently admins receive notifications about new quarantined items. Currently, there are various frequency intervals available for notification, but with the upcoming change, there will be new intervals, and the default notification frequency will also change. The update will begin rolling out in late November 2021 and be completed by late February 2023 for standard customers, while government customers will see the change in early June 2023 and be completed by late July 2023.
If you're a current user of Microsoft Defender for Office 365, you should update your quarantine global policy configuration frequency accordingly, depending on your needs. Additionally, training documentation is available to help you navigate these changes.
