Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Migration of quarantine notification frequencies

This communication is an extension of the previous communication in MC383901 We are updating the frequency interval available for user quarantine notification. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 93304 When this will happen: Standard: will begin rolling out in late November and be completed by late February 2023 Government: will begin rolling out in early June 2023 and be completed by late July 2023 How this will affect your organization: Currently, these are the frequency interval available for user quarantine notification for Admins to choose from: Within 1 day Within 2 days Within 3days – current default Within 4days Within 5days Within 6days Within 7days Within 9days Within 10days Within 11days Within 12 days Within 13 days Within 14 days Within 15 days With this change, these will be the new intervals: Within 4hours Within 8hours “daily” – new default “Weekly” For customers that currently have notification frequencies > 1 day and < 7days, we will migrate to 1 day (i.e daily)  For customers that currently have notification frequencies > 7 days, we will migrate to 7 days (i.e weekly)  What you need to do to prepare: Admins should update their quarantine global policy configuration frequency as they see fit and training documentation Message ID: MC468486
