Microsoft Purview eDiscovery (Premium): Guest reviewer (GA)

Microsoft Purview eDiscovery (Premium) introduces a new feature for guest reviewers which was previously in public preview, but now it is generally available. As part of Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 98093, this feature will allow guest access within eDiscovery from Premium settings. Once the feature is enabled, an eDiscovery administrator can invite a guest to a specific eDiscovery case through the Case settings > Access & permissions page, and then review and approve access to the Guest reviewer through the Premium Settings page.

This feature is expected to roll out in mid-August and will be completed by the third week of August. After approval, the guest user receives an email invitation to access the case within eDiscovery (Premium), they must click on the link provided in the email to access the case.

If this feature affects your organization's eDiscovery workflow, it is advisable to provide training to all eDiscovery users in your organization and update relevant documentation if needed. It is also important to ensure that the correct B2B external collaboration settings are in place to allow eDiscovery Administrators to approve a guest user.
