Bringing mentions filter upfront and retirement of other filters in Activity Feed
In May 2024, the '@Mention' and 'Unread' filters will be given more prominence in the Activity Feed of Microsoft Teams, while other filters will be retired. Upfront filter pills or type search will be recommended instead. This change is aimed at improving user experience in activity. The mention filter, which meets most filtering needs, will be displayed upfront while other filters such as those for missed calls, replies, reactions, and apps will no longer be available. The targeted release starts early May 2024 and the general availability starts late May 2024. Users are advised to prepare for this change by using upfront filter pills or type search, instead of the 'More' filters option.
