Improved Upload experience and retirement of the ‘Get Data’ page in Power BI
In a bid to streamline the Power BI experience, the 'Get Data' page will be retired in favor of a more simplified Upload experience. This change will take effect on December 8, 2022, and will also affect the ability to connect to personal OneDrive accounts. Going forward, users are encouraged to upload local files via OneDrive for Business or SharePoint.
After December 8, users should look to the top of any workspace page to use the new streamlined Upload experience. If creating datasets via Excel or CSV data, users should click on the Dataset option under the New button at the top of any workspace page. Organisations are advised to update any internal documentation to reflect this simplified approach.
