Microsoft Teams: Default Meeting Layout Controls for Teams Rooms on Android

Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android is set to get a new update that allows IT admins to choose the default meeting layout for their Teams Rooms devices. This new feature will enable room users to see the default meeting layout when the meeting starts, while they are still able to switch to other views using the view switcher during a meeting. The rollout for this update is scheduled to begin in late May 2023 and is expected to be completed by late June, although there may be delays in availability on certain device makes and models. IT admins can select between Content only, Content + Gallery, and Front Row as the default layout depending on their subscription (Standard, Premium, and Pro). To take advantage of the new functionalities, users must first update their devices to the latest version through the Teams Admin Center.
