Getting started with portal for Azure confidential ledger

Earlier this year, Azure confidential ledger, a managed service for keeping sensitive records intact for perpetuity with high integrity, became available to customers in preview with Python and ARM quickstarts. To build on this, today, we are excited to announce the portal experience to create your confidential ledgers!  

Azure confidential ledger is the right fit if you are looking to: 1) store records in a trusted data store that can be accessed via REST APIs  2) verify that the data remained intact through cryptographic proofs. Typically, confidential ledger is used when needing to:  

• Connect an application to store your most important audit logs that need immutability for record keeping purposes. 
• Maintain an application’s integrity by storing metadata that needs to be reviewed from time-to-time.  
• Enable data transparency in multi-party scenarios where a single source of truth is required.  

How do I get started with the portal experience?  

1. Sign in to Azure 

   Sign in to the Azure portal at https://portal.azure.com. 

2. Create a confidential ledger  

   Follow step-by-step instructions on creating a ledger. 

3. Transact with the confidential ledger

   Use the functional APIs (data plane) to store data or verify information about the data.
