Microsoft Viva: Connections News Notifications in Gov Clouds

The release of Microsoft Viva provides more inclusive and efficient communication and collaboration opportunities in government cloud environments. With the release, news notifications in Viva Connections will now be available in GCC, GCCH, and DoD. This feature allows users to receive notifications in Microsoft Teams across desktop, mobile, and web environments whenever news is published to a SharePoint team or communication site a user follows or by someone a user works closely with, and when comments or likes are made to a news post, as well as when someone is mentioned in a comment on a news post.

This new Microsoft Viva feature will be available on the Mac Cloud Instance, with an anticipated Release date in August CY2024. The inclusion of Microsoft Viva in government cloud environments enhances communication and collaboration capabilities, and demonstrates Microsoft's commitment to serving the needs of its customers in the public sector.
