Microsoft Viva: Answers in Viva – AI Topic Suggestions

This post sheds light on Microsoft Viva's new AI topic extraction feature that offers suggested topics based on user questions. The AI tool extracts up to 3 topics based on the question's content, which can be either existing Viva topics or newly generated ones. However, users must select and add the AI suggested topics manually as they don't automatically get attached to the question. In addition, users can still search and add their own topics and choose not to use the AI suggestions.

The rollout of this feature will begin in early October 2023 and is expected to complete by late October 2023. This feature aims to help users better select appropriate topics while publishing a question in Answers in Viva Engage, allowing them to communicate more effectively.

The AI-suggested topics feature will be available to users by default, and tenant admins can choose to turn off the feature for all users in their network via the Viva Engage admin panel.
