PowerBI Glossary - App or Apps
If you're new to PowerBI, you may come across the term "App" or "Apps" and may not understand what it means. In short, it refers to the ability to package up a collection of dashboards and reports to be shared and managed as a single entity. This can be particularly useful if you have a large organization with different departments or stakeholders that require different sets of reports.
By creating separate apps for each department or set of stakeholders, you can ensure that each group only sees the reports and dashboards that are relevant to them, keeping things organized and avoiding confusion. Additionally, apps can also be customized with your branding and logos, providing a more cohesive and professional experience when sharing them with others.
