Deploy new Microsoft Teams with Microsoft 365 apps

Deploy new Microsoft Teams with Microsoft 365 apps

In September 2023, new Microsoft Teams will be included with new and existing installations of Microsoft 365 apps for Windows, depending on the provided schedule. Users can currently deploy the new Teams by using the "Try the new Teams" toggle switch in classic Teams or having administrators bulk deploy directly to organization computers. Administrators can also choose to exclude installing new Teams from their Microsoft 365 deployment. This post provides details about upcoming changes for deploying the new Teams desktop app with Microsoft 365 apps and managing opt-outs. The rollout for new Teams with Microsoft 365 apps will begin in September 2023 for Business plans and in accordance with the schedule provided in referenced articles for Enterprise plans. The change will allow administrators to manage opt-outs for new Teams included in installations. Instructions on how to opt-out will be made available in early August 2023.

Stay ahead of the game and prepare for these upcoming changes to ensure a smooth transition.
