Viva Goals: Manual status computation

Viva Goals introduces a new feature that empowers users with greater control over the status of their objectives and key results (OKRs) and projects. With the latest update, users will be able to compute the status independently, giving them more control and flexibility over how they track their progress. Previously, status was only dependent on progress, leaving little room for users to adjust status when needed. This update is set to roll out gradually from late June to late July, with no action required on the part of users.

Users will now have the ability to set the status independent of progress while creating an OKR. If the OKR is already set with a key result or a data source, users will be able to switch the status mode to manual while making a check-in, giving them control over how progress is tracked. In case of backdated check-ins, the user can change the date of check-in, based on which the progress and status can be updated manually for the selected date.

Overall, this update gives users added flexibility and control over how they track progress, making Viva Goals an even stronger tool for project management and OKR tracking. This feature will be available in the coming weeks, with no preparation required on the part of users.
