Communication Compliance: Prioritize analysis of policy-driven alerts with Azure Cognitive Services (public preview)

Azure Cognitive Services are set to offer text analysis capabilities to Communication Compliance, thereby helping businesses prioritize and investigate compliance alerts. The upcoming update is set to enable compliance managers to investigate potential regulatory incidents by providing more context via the machine learning capabilities offered by Azure Cognitive Services. Policy investigators will be able to categorize messages matching policy conditions as having “positive,” “negative,” or “neutral” sentiment, providing more insight to prioritize riskier messages that require immediate attention. The sentiment context will appear as a sentiment column in the “Pending” view of Communication Compliance, and admins have the option to remove the column from view.

Communication Compliance aims to detect any conduct that violates the policies defined by organizations with built-in privacy controls and built-in role-based access. Only messages that have already triggered an alert in an existing policy will be analyzed. The feature is expected to be in public preview by mid-January.
