Visual Refresh of Office apps for Windows
Microsoft has announced the release of Visual Refresh for Microsoft 365 apps for Windows. The update utilizes the Fluent Design principles, delivering a recognizable, intuitive, and coherent experience across all Microsoft 365 applications. The update was released alongside Windows 11 and is currently available for all Microsoft 365 Subscription and Perpetual 2021 users in Production Current Channel and Monthly Enterprise Channel. The Visual Refresh rollout also affected Windows 10 production Microsoft 365 Subscription and some Perpetual 2021 users who did not receive the change. However, the update will initially be an opt-in experience for Windows 10 production Microsoft 365 Subscription users, with Perpetual 2021 users able to opt-out. The rollout is expected to begin mid-April and complete by mid-May. It's recommended that organizations update their training and documentation as appropriate.
