Microsoft Purview | Data Loss Prevention: Diagnostics now in the Purview compliance portal

Microsoft is set to launch a new experience that lets you diagnose issues encountered while using Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP). This feature will be available in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal with a public preview in late October 2024 and general availability in early January 2025. The diagnostic feature will be located at Purview compliance portal > Data Loss Prevention > Run diagnostics, after rollout. This feature will be on by default and no admin action will be required before the rollout.
Additionally, before this rollout, running these diagnostics were only possible through Microsoft PowerShell cmdlets. This change will allow you to troubleshoot any issues encountered in your DLP more conveniently and efficiently from the compliance portal. Microsoft expects to begin rolling out the public preview of this feature in late October 2024 and complete by mid-November 2024. General availability will begin in early January 2025 and complete by mid-January 2025 all over the world.
It is important to note that this rollout will happen automatically by the specified date with no admin action required before the rollout. It is advisable to update your relevant documentation and notify your admins about this change. Before rollout, Microsoft will update their post with revised documentation.
So if you're a Microsoft Information Protection and Data Loss Prevention user, this upcoming feature update is something to look forward to for a smoother diagnostic process.
